Backwater ol Tisza at Alcel-island

108 hectares. It is found on the outskirts of Szolnok and can be approached on the road number 4, driving towands Snijol. 

Licence and information in the Szolnok office of "Munkas" Angling Association (Ady F. U. 27, weekdays from 7 am to 6 pm, Saturdays from 7 am to 10 am, Sundays from 6 am to 9 am), and in the ^"Rower inn" from 6am to 7pm.

Tisza Lake

Its area is shared by Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok and Heves counties. From Budapest, on the road number 3, turning off to number 33 at Fuzesabony You reach the fishing-place on the right shore, in Heves county. Driving on on the same route You find the left shore's fishing place, and Tiszafured, the largest city of the region. Going South from here, significant places to mention are:

Tiszaderzs and Abadszalok

Tisza Lake is a lake that was formed by the construction of the Water Power Station of Kiskore. The area it now covers includes the original bed of the Tisza river and the lakes that formed the old flood-prevention dams on the old river.

In winter the water levels fall, they rise again in the spring when the lake covers more than 10,000 hectares. The area above the bridge of TiszaWred is a nature conversation area (a bird reservation), thus there are limitations on places and times of fishing. (The fishing licence provides a map and guidance on these matters.)

All sorts of fish are present in the Tisza. It is famous for its big carp and Wels catfish.  True wild carp are also present along with pikeperch and pike, aspe, tench and all sorts of white fish.   "Kuttyogatas", a traditional fishing method going back hundreds of years is also practised here.

Licences can be obtained in many places around the reservoir for example in anglers' shops, but it is easier to get them in Budapest in beforehand.

Since the reservoir is surrounded by villages private accommodation is available.  You can also find many camp sites and hotels in the area that offer meals and refreshments.

In anglers' shops different kinds of baits (including live baitfish) are sold.

Boat renting is possible all around, several local entrepreneurs help visitors with motorboats and, if requested, professional guides are also available.

"Tolbuhin" Angling Association In Jasztelek

6 hectares. The association recommends the fishing lake in Jasztelek-Pusztamizse. Accommodation is provided in the hotel wich is on site.  The fishing lake is surrounded by a forest, which is also a nature conservation area with oak trees some of which are 400-500 years old.

Pond tortoise and different snakes are frequently seen. Pike of more than 10 kilograms, artificially introduced carps, grass carps, and indigenous tenches can be caught. As for small fish, crucian and the recently introduced Wels catfish can also be caught.

"Bereki' Angling Association in Berekfurdo

Two lakes of 21 hectares in total which are maintained by the local association. They are located directly beside the Spa. On the shore there is a camp site for years visited by many foreign guests.

Stock of fish: carp, grass carp, bream, pike, African catfish, tench, crucian and other sorts of whitefish.
